Living the stewardship way of life
Blessed Trinity Church is a stewardship community gratefully acknowledging God as the giver of all our gifts. We honor him by giving back of our time, talent, and treasure in response to his great love.
As a vibrant, tithing parish, our members are active in over 100 ministries, serving the needs of our community, the Diocese and the world at large, especially the poor.
What is Stewardship?
The United States Council of Catholic Bishops defined Stewardship as: A Christian Steward is one who receives God’s gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible manner, shares them in justice and love with others, and returns them with increase to the Lord.
How can I become a good steward?
As good stewards we know that everything we have, everything we are or ever will be is a gift of a loving, generous God. In keeping with the teaching of Jesus, we are called by our baptism to be sharers of our faith, our prayers, our time allotted to us, our talent and our money.
At Blessed Trinity we have many opportunities to live out our faith as stewards of God’s many blessings.
First and foremost, we are blessed with the gift of prayer. We have a praying community with daily Masses and seven weekend Masses to gather as a community and worship. There is also an Adoration Chapel where parishioners are welcome to spend an hour or a few minutes in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. This is attended and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Time is also a gift. There are many ways to use your time at home, in your workplace or at Blessed Trinity, for the betterment of the kingdom of God. Check out the bulletin each week or stop by the rectory to meet with any one of our welcoming staff who can guide you to the person or activity that is right for you. Putting God first with our time is one way to grow as a steward.
Check out the Ministry booklet which comes out every year at the Renewal time in November. Every ministry is described and the contact person listed. Everyone has been blessed with a talent and where there’s a talent, there’s a way to use it, at Blessed Trinity.

Pray to God, asking for wisdom to understand the truth that your treasure here on earth is a gift from Him. Knowing this in your heart will change your life forever. The giving of your treasure to God as a gift of thanks to Him is a personal gift between you and God. Scripture tells us a tithe, 10% of your earnings, is an acceptable way to give back to God.
Blessed Trinity parish also practices the stewardship of treasure by tithing our income to various ministries outside of our parish. For example, to our sister parish in Uganda, Africa, Blessed Trinity has provided multiple new churches, an elementary school, a high school and convent for retired religious members.
